THE POWER OF LIGHTING
Without light, we would not be able to see and appreciate the beauty of design. But light is not only to show - but also to showcase the art of interiors, which is why we need to know how to set the perfect mood for each space and situation.
Of course, functional light is important to be able to navigate through a home, clean and work in the environment but there is another level to it; ambient lighting.
This is where we play with colors and brightness to affect the feeling of the room.
While ambient lighting is often warmer and placed closer to the floor, to recreate the appearance of a cozy campfire, functional lighting is often cooler and therefore closer to natural daylight.
Not only the light bulb itself but also its presentation matters. Lamps often direct or dim the light and tie together a design by adding the final touch. We select each item with careful observation and choose simple or more eye-catching objects, based on what we believe a certain space needs.
Below, we share some of these choices and atmospheres with you, through additional examples from previous projects.
